Why add a vase?

Because a hand-tied bouquet arrives wrapped and needs somewhere to go, and the moment of hunting through cupboards for something the right height is the one bit of receiving flowers nobody enjoys. Add the keepsake vase and it arrives ready to display.

The candle

A Sheike 24K gold candle in six scents, Australian made, in packaging that looks like a gift before it is opened. It goes out with the flowers and stays long after them, which is the same argument as the vase in a different form.

As a gift on their own

Both work perfectly well without flowers, and the candle in particular is a good answer to the thank-you gift you need at short notice.

Which scent?

Six to choose from, and they are genuinely different rather than variations on vanilla. Coconut and Lime and Sapphire Sea Breeze are the fresh end and suit a bathroom or a hot afternoon. Vanilla Caramel and Cotton Candy are the warm, sweet end. Pink Jasmine and Guava and Passion sit in the middle and are the safest choice if you are buying for someone whose taste you do not know.
