Questions couples ask
Before you enquire.
Cost & booking
How much do wedding flowers cost?
Our minimum spend is $1,500, which covers bouquets and personal florals for a smaller wedding. Ceremony and reception work is quoted on top of that.
Every wedding is priced individually. Tell us your budget in the enquiry and we'll tell you honestly what it will and won't stretch to.
How do we secure our date?
A 50% deposit secures your date, with the balance due 14 days before the wedding. We accept bank transfer, card, and EFTPOS in store.
Nothing is held until the deposit is paid — dates go to whoever books first.
How far ahead should we book?
Most couples book six to twelve months ahead, particularly for peak wedding months. Book as soon as you have a date and a venue — it protects your spot and gives us time to design properly.
Last-minute weddings are taken on when we have capacity. It is always worth asking.
Your flowers
What if a flower we wanted isn't available?
Flowers are seasonal, and the market decides what is beautiful in any given week. If something isn't available we substitute it with a similar bloom of equal or greater value, keeping the style, colour palette and overall look of the design intact.
We talk it through with you before the day. You will never be surprised on the morning.
Can we change things closer to the day?
Small adjustments — a colour, a stem, one more buttonhole — are usually fine.
Larger changes to the quote need to be agreed at least 14 days before the wedding, when the balance falls due and we order your stems.
What happens if it rains and we move indoors?
We adjust the setup on the day. Tell us your wet-weather plan when you book, so we have already thought it through rather than improvising in the rain.
On the day, and beyond
Do you deliver and set up at the venue?
Yes. We deliver, arrange and style on site, and coordinate timing with your venue and planner.
If your venue needs security codes, a loading dock, a timed drop-off or anything else to get us in the door, tell us in your enquiry. It's the detail that most often goes wrong on the morning.
Where do you travel?
Across the Gold Coast — Surfers Paradise, Main Beach, Broadbeach, Southport, Mermaid Beach, Burleigh Heads, Robina and Coolangatta.
We also travel to Mount Tamborine, Beechmont, Currumbin Valley, Tweed Heads, Kingscliff and Northern NSW, with travel quoted separately.
Can we come and see you first?
Please do. Our Orchid Avenue shop is open — we're Shop 38, The Mark, 3-15 Orchid Avenue. Book a consultation and we'll set aside proper time for you rather than fitting you around the bench.
You don't need to know flower names, or bring anything but a rough idea and a date.
Do you do engagements, elopements and the smaller days too?
Yes — engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, elopements and micro-weddings. A registry-office elopement with one bouquet and two buttonholes is as welcome as a hundred-guest reception.
Anniversaries too. Tell us what the day is and we'll design for it.

You don't need to know flower names. Tell us the date, the venue and roughly what you'd like to spend, and we'll take it from there.
