Before delivery day

What to expect.

A few honest words on how we work — so what arrives is exactly what you hoped for. Tap a heading below to jump to it.

Made by hand, just for you

Every arrangement is put together by our florists on the day it's sent — so the one that arrives is one of a kind. It captures the look, colours and feel of the photo, but it won't be identical to the last petal. That's the nature of real flowers, and it's the point: yours is arranged fresh, not pulled off a shelf.

Fresh and in season

We work with what's at its best that week. If a particular flower isn't available, or isn't up to our standard, we'll substitute it for something of equal or greater value in the same style and colour, so the overall look stays true.

Greenery is seasonal too. The foliage, filler and textures we finish an arrangement with come and go the same way the flowers do, so we use the best of what's in that week. The same promise applies: equal or greater value, in the same style.

Colours on a screen

Screens flatter and shift colour — a deep burgundy can read closer to red, a blush closer to pink. What you see is a faithful guide, not an exact colour swatch.

Lilies may arrive in bud

If your arrangement includes lilies, some of them may arrive as tight, green-tipped buds. That's the good part. A lily sent in bud opens in the recipient's home rather than on the way, so they get the whole of it: the slow unfurling, the scent building day by day, and flowers still going long after an already-open bloom would have finished.

Put them somewhere warm and bright and the first will open within a day or two. Each bud takes its own time, so there'll be open flowers and buds together for a while, and something new opening most mornings.

Delivery

  • We deliver across Surfers Paradise and the Gold Coast, Monday to Saturday.
  • Standard deliveries leave the shop from the early afternoon (usually after 2pm). If you'd like it there earlier or by a set time, choose Priority Delivery at checkout.
  • Close by? Anything within walking distance of the shop is always sent out sooner than the rest of the run.
  • If no one's home, we'll usually leave your flowers in a safe, shaded spot and let the recipient know. If there's nowhere safe, we'll try to reach the recipient by phone — and, with their okay, leave them with a trusted neighbour. If we can't reach anyone and there's no safe spot, the flowers come back to the shop and a re-delivery fee applies.

Making them last

  • Trim a little off the stems and pop them into fresh, clean water as soon as they arrive.
  • Keep them out of direct sun, away from heat, and away from the fruit bowl — fruit ages flowers faster.
  • Top up or change the water every couple of days.
  • With a little care and a cool spot, your flowers will stay looking their best for days; some varieties naturally last longer than others.

If something's not right
