A wrist corsage for the school formal, a wedding or a debutante ball.

The corsage is the detail everyone photographs. Ours is made by hand on the morning it’s worn, composed to sit properly on the wrist and to still look like something at the end of the night.

When to order. Corsages are made to order, so they are not a same-day item. If you want a specific colour, or you are matching a dress, order at least three days before the formal. If white, blush or red as they come will do, one day ahead is enough. Left it late? Call us on 0402 522 505 and we’ll tell you honestly what we can do.

Choose your bloom. Roses, for the classic. Singapore orchids for something less expected: slimmer, a little architectural, and they wear beautifully for hours. If you have a particular flower in mind, get in touch before you order and we’ll happily talk it through.

Choose your band. The Classic band wraps to fit any wrist in one movement, with no clasp to fuss with. The Diamanté band sets the same piece on a jewelled bracelet, so once the flowers have been pressed there’s still something left worth keeping.

Choose your colour. White or blush for a wedding, red for a formal. Blue, as pictured, is made to order because the shade has to sit with the dress. For blue or any other colour, choose Match my outfit, tell us the colour in the order notes or send us a photo of the fabric, and allow three days. We love getting these exactly right.

Collect it on the way. Most formal corsages are collected from the shop. We are at Shop 38, The Mark, on Orchid Avenue in Surfers Paradise, a few minutes from the hotels where many Gold Coast formals are held. Choose pickup at checkout and put the date of the formal in the order notes, and it will be boxed and waiting. We close at 3pm on Saturdays and are closed Sundays, so collect a Saturday-night corsage before three. Gold Coast delivery is available too, from $12.

Going as a pair? The matching boutonniere is $30, made in the same flowers so the two read together in photographs.

Planning a whole wedding party? Send us a wedding enquiry and we’ll quote the day together.

Corsage questions, answered

How much is a wrist corsage? $50 on the Classic band and $65 on the Diamanté band. A matching boutonniere is $25.

How far ahead should I order a formal corsage? Three days for a specific or matched colour, including blue. One day for white, blush or red.

Can I pick my corsage up? Yes, and most people do. Shop 38, The Mark, 3-15 Orchid Avenue, Surfers Paradise. Monday to Friday from 9am, Saturday 10am to 3pm.

Which wrist does a corsage go on? Traditionally the left. In practice, the hand you don’t write with, so it stays out of the way.

How do I keep it fresh until the formal? Leave it in its box in the fridge, not the freezer, until you are ready to go. It is made that morning and built to last the night.
