Sillage is small and completely unsubtle. Scarlet, crimson and oxblood packed tight into one white vessel, with pink gladioli running straight up out of the top of it.

It was built for a table, so it reads from every side and stays below eye level: nobody has to look around it to talk. Deep red roses and burgundy carnations hold the centre, a glossy red anthurium leans out over the rim, and a lime green dianthus stops the whole thing going velvet. Built by hand the morning it goes out.
